Pole inspection has to be carried out to meet National Electric Code safety standards. Unfortunately, inspection only is an expense that leads to a lot of pole replacements. Inspection combined with present internal and external treatments will extend the life of most wood poles almost indefinitely and the savings will more than pay for the program.
