AB  - A method for quantifying the location factor in evaluating shade trees is proposed. It is based on four criteria, and the total of the points accorded to each, directly yields the location percentage. For the appraisal of hedges, a modification of the replacement value given for shrubs in the-ISA Guide is put forth to take into account this particular case of the grouping plants.
