AB  - In 1980, communities participating in the Wisconsin Dutch Elm Disease Demonstration Program spent about $2.62 per capita for Dutch elm disease management. The percentage of the total program expenditure for each control practice was: tree removal and disposal, 79%; systemic fungicide injections, 11%; sanitation and symptom surveys, 7%; and root-graft barriers, 3%.
