Stresstolerance can usually be gauged by assessing ecological adversities of the natural environment of trees as components of ecosystems. Survival and contributions of urban trees depend upon three major considerations: selection of appropriate trees, choice and preparation of favorable planting places; and handling (e.g. proper transplanting) and follow-up care.
