AB  - ‘Franksred’ and ‘October Glory’ red maple (Acer rubrum) from tissue culture were compared in an existing field study to their budded counterparts to determine differences in annual growth rate, leaf morphology characteristics, leaf greenness, initiation of fall color, and gas exchange capacity. There were no differences between propagation methods for the two cultivars in height or caliper increases, fall color patterns, or gas exchange capacities.
