The rules and regulations that cover permits, tree care standards, slash disposal, use of herbicides, and planting along Maryland’s roadsides are discussed. The close cooperation and assistance between the public, public utilities, and the Maryland Forest Service is the reason the law works and the roadsides of Maryland are maintained in an aesthetically pleasing condition.
