AB  - In an integrated pest management program developed for the National Park Service, tree wrap was applied to young dogwoods to protect the trees from deer. The presence of vinyl wrap was found to have a significant effect on the incidence of dogwood borers in these trees. Dogwood borers attacked wrapped trees more frequently and more successfully than unwrapped trees.
