Multivariate regression analysis of the factors affecting the percent of new stem growth showed that the percent of new stem growth of ‘Armstrong’ is lowered as pH is increased. The percent of new stem growth of ‘October Glory’ is unaffected by changes in pH and that of ‘Red Sunset’ is increased as the pH is increased.
