AB In the past twenty years, management planning for the urban forest has become commonplace in this country, but has not yet focused on long-range objectives. Steps used in forest management planning are outlined and applied to urban forest management. Other forestry concepts, such as age structure and rotation, can also be applied to the urban forest and should be given more serious consideration in its management.
