ABSTRACT

Shurtleff, M.C. 1976. Blotting out blossoms blights. Grounds Maintenance 11(2): 44-46.

The blossoms of practically all flowering plants are attacked by one or more fungi or bacteria, causing flowers to be flecked or spotted and finally blighted. Some of these organisms will also attack buds, leaves, young stems (cuttings) or twigs, fruits, tender seedlings and even seed. The most common of these blights are described along with their controls.
